How much paint do I need? Use this quick formula to calculate how much paint you'll need for your pool.
To figure out the amount of paint required: Length x Width x 1.7 = square footage x 2 (2 coats) Divided by 500 (coverage per 2 gallon kit) = kits needed (remember that the product is sold in a 2 gallon kit)

Proper Surface Preparation is important - Wash down with TSP solution (TSP powder into a 5 gallon bucket with water)using a scrub brush. Then take 1 gallon of muriatic acid & put into a 5 gallon bucket - fill with 4 gallons of water. Scrub down the pool with this acid solution. Then rinse with the TSP solution, and let the pool dry. Then paint with 1 coat, overnight dry, 2nd coat, wait 5 days to refill. Add 1 extra day for every day of rain. Enjoy!
